Abstract



The researcher in this study addressed the linguistic characteristics of the dialect of al-Abādil tribes, He collected his data from informants from the inhabitants of these tribes. He paid a great deal of care to write down in detailed and accurate fashion the various features of this dialect. Analysis of each case started with retrieving the notes and interpretations of old Arab scholars and then compared them to the current usage. This done to show its relative relation to classical Arabic. The research tried whenever possible to compare the lexical and grammatical data to other corresponding Semitic languages.


 


     This study was made in five main points, the first addressed personal pronouns, the second: relative pronouns, the third: Demonstrative pronouns, the fourth: Interrogative pronouns or words, and the fifth: adverbs. The paper concludes with showing its findings
