Abstract

Study aims: It aims to clarify the amounts of blood money (Diyat) of male and female Muslims and others non-Muslims, Diayt of organs and benefits and the amounts of Injuries and cuts (Shejaj).


 


Study methodology: Deductive inductive approach.


 


Significant findings:



  • The origin of ransom (blood money) is camels, and the value of Diya differs according to its assets which are camels.

  • The blood money for a Muslim man in error is three hundred thousand Saudi riyals, and the blood money for on purpose and his equivalent is four hundred thousand Saudi riyals.

  • The blood money for a Muslim woman in error is one hundred fifty thousand Saudi riyals, and the blood money for on purpose and his equivalent is two hundred thousand Saudi riyals.

  • If man has one thing he deserves a complete ransom (Diya), and if two things, each one deserves half blood money
